Alpha FM Services Ltd understands the need for implementing risk assessment monitoring and test procedures for the control of Legionnaires' disease in nursing and residential care homes. We recognise both the day-to-day practicalities of delivering hot water at safe low temperatures and the financial constraints often imposed on such establishments.

With this in mind, we use our expertise to help our customers find affordable ways to meet the requirements of ACoP L8.

Our risk assessment reports are easy to read and understand, contain photographs of your own equipment and contain a table of recommendations and a basic schematic of your water system to enable you to comply with the legislation for safe working practices.

Our comprehensive Water Hygiene Log Book assists you in meeting the requirements of ACoP L8. Our log books can be tailored to your individual needs and full training for Care Home Managers and Staff can be provided upon request.

Bacteriological Testing

Sampling for Legionella bacteria will help demonstrate that control of the water systems is being achieved, in order to comply with ACoP L8.

Legionella Sampling

We will send you a Legionella test kit for only £44 + VAT. You fill the sample bottle with hot water from your taps & showers (full instructions provided). We arrange for a courier to collect the sample from your Care Home and deliver it to our UKAS accredited laboratory for analysis. We will then send you a Legionella Certificate to display at your premises.
